Finance Controller

Report to: Country Head, Business CFO

Job Mission:

The position calls for high-level analytical skills, brilliant management ability and at least ten years’ experience in similar position.

Principal Responsibility:

  • Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Accounts finalization & MIS reporting
  • Regular budget consolidation
  • Cash flow management/Treasury Operations, Laisioning with the bankers.
  • Ensuring Internal control and internal checks in the system
  • Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
  • Stakeholder management
  • Debt management and collection
  • Preparing company tax and Financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Developing financial reviews and providing investment advice
  • Managing cross functional teams as per the Business requirement and playing Business support role in major commercial decisions
  • Local administration
  • Logistics

Educational Qualifications: Chartered Accountant

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 to 15 years of post-qualification experience, Kenya experience is must
  • Candidate should be currently resident in Kenya or worked in Kenya in recent past
  • He should have deep understanding in banking and treasury work with leading banks in Kenya.
  • Exposure to Distribution operations/Trading is relevant for this role
  • Exposure to SAP is an added advantage.
  • Candidates preferred from Trading/Distribution background.
